From a young age, Colby, the founder of Glowstone, was captivated by the beauty, character, and mystery found within crystals and natural stone. Growing up in Texas, he discovered these natural treasures hidden throughout the land, sparking a passion that would eventually shape his future.

As he grew older, he began imagining a way to bring the extraordinary beauty of the earth into people’s everyday lives. That vision led to the creation of Glowstone.

Driven by a passion for exploration and discovery, Colby travels across the world in search of exceptional crystals, stones, and other natural materials. He climbs rugged cliffs, explores beneath creek beds, and ventures into challenging terrain to uncover materials hidden within the earth. He risks it all in pursuit of remarkable finds, searching for distinctive colors, patterns, formations, textures, and natural characteristics that can become the foundation for extraordinary home designs.

Inspired by the idea that countertops, sinks, tiles, and other architectural features could showcase the natural beauty of crystals and stone, Colby set out to create something truly different.
